It’s the first radio survey for the year, and our OMD Radio Survey Dream Team have put together the following summary:
Sydney
- 2GB still number 1 despite -7% loss in audience for TTPL
- Smooth has improved their positions in both Breakfast and Drive in TTPL
- Nova also continues to struggle, losing their #1 position in Drive to Smooth
- Edge DAB+ has seen a massive improvement, with the highest point score
Melbourne
- 3AW number 1 across breakfast with 19.9% share
- Fox Hit 101.9 with ‘Carrie and Tommy’ followed by ‘Hughesy and Kate’ was dominant for the drive daypart
- Nova 100 continues to see fluctuations SOS against the younger demographics (P16-39 & P25-54)
- Triple M has been consistent SOS primarily due to the popularity of the ‘Hot Breakfast Team’ of ‘Eddie, Will and Luke’
Brisbane
- 3AW number 1 across breakfast with 19.9% share

Adelaide
- Nova is closing the FM gap against Mix 102.3 with an increase of 11% across Total People
- Whilst Mix 102.3 stayed in 3rd place vs P16-39 the network did see a massive increase in audience SOS by 49%
- 5AA has seen declines across breakfast with Mix 102.3 taking the No.1 spot
- Hit 107’s new breakfast lineup of ‘Rebecca Morse and Andrew Costello’ has helped the network see growth in audience (+2%)
Perth
- Mix extends its’ lead with particularly strong Breakfast audiences as “Clairsy, Kymba & Matt“ jump back on top.
- NOVA still holds the top spot across BMAD amongst P16-39 despite a -24% decline SOS.
- HIT’s 92.9 loses significant share SOS, seeing declines of -23% across Drive.
- ABC Perth sees the return of Russell Woolf resulting in the station claiming #1 spot in AM across both Drive and Breakfast.
