Triple M Network delivered some mixed results; their Sydney ratings momentum has subsided with the network delivering negative results this Survey. This is significant given that this is the time of the year when radio stations with a Sport focus can capitalise on the momentum around the finals season.
Last week SCA announced the closure of their sister Digital Station ‘Triple M Classic Rock’. Judging from today survey results, the Digital Station was indeed attracting some attention but unfortunately no advertising revenue.
Smooth continues to be a stand out performer, particularly on 40+, with both Syd and Melb Smooth stations proving to be a considerable threat. The station has come along way since its Vega days.
SMI Data Jan–Sept demonstrations that Radio as an advertising medium continues to experience demand with the Revenue (Metro) at +5.5% year on year.
